Route 28 Hot Spots Improvements

This $6.3 Million project involved the widening of Northbound Route 28 from McLaren Road to the Dulles Toll Road, as well as Southbound Route 28 from Waxpool Road to Route 50.

Virginia Paving teams performed demolition of the existing asphalt pavement, followed by full-depth roadway paving and shoulder paving, asphalt wedging and build up as needed. The project required 1.5” of mill and overlay of the existing asphalt pavement, which was completed under strict deadline and in high-traffic areas.
